Vibrant Faith Workshops held on December 2-4, 2011 Participating churches were St. Peter's Episcopal, Trinity Lutheran, First United Methodist, and First Christian churches.

 

Lightning Strike The church steeple was hit by lightning on October 6th, 2011 at 5:05 pm.  The first image shows the damage to the steeple.  The new cupola and steeple were installed on Friday, December 2, 2011.

Thrift Store
First Christian operates a thrift store run by Vi Wilson and a handful of dedicated volunteers. The store is located at 243 East Burkitt Street and is open from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Saturdays.  Over the years our thrift store has helped people whose homes have been destroyed by fire, people who have been stranded in town, and people affected by domestic violence.  If you would like to donate to this important ministry of the church or would like to volunteer some time to work in the thrift store call the church office.
